Camp Dates Sunday, August 2nd through Saturday, August 8th, 2026
Camp Good News is a summer camp for children aged 10-15 free to children of incarcerated parents. Camp Good News is a Christian camp coordinated by Houston reVision this year. It includes spiritual activities and the physical challenges of swimming, canoeing, archery, horseback riding, games, crafts, and more! Camp Good News is located at Camp Allen, in Navasota, Texas. There is no cost to the parent or caregiver, however, participation is limited to 60 children who are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Campers age 16 & 17 with previous Camp Good News attendance may apply to be a counselor in training. Applications will be available in 2025.

Be a Counselor
First complete an application. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can apply to be a counselor in training. If you are between 18 and 23, you can apply to be a counselor.
Counselors volunteer for all 6 days and participate in all camp activities alongside the campers.
Counselors in Training receive a $200 stipend and Counselors receive $125.00 per day. Submit a W-9 to terri@houstonrevision.org prior to June 1, 2026, once you are approved.
